"What StudioTech and its sister company Unique Systems have created work perfectly together and with the whole of the centre. The tulip-themed art installation sits perfectly here and StudioTech has really captured the Springfield's atmosphere."Tracey Turnell, Marketing Manager, Springfields
"The requirement for several high quality visual and audio installations at Springfields, all bespoke, were delivered to the highest standards by Studiotech. 6000 watts of Bose sound, a huge winter wonderland, public art and changeable ceiling lighting are some of the difficult installations delivered by the company. First class in every regard."Ian Sanderson, Director, Chester Properties Group.
To assist in the launch of this unique feature the client enlisted the help of some of the UK's finest looking ladies in the form of the 14 finalists of the Miss UK competition including the current Miss England, Laura Coleman.
We were asked by the client to create an economical yet innovative solution to provide both ambient and feature lighting to the barrelled roof in their recently completed covered mall. We designed and implemented a scheme using both 12 watt white LED luminaires and 18 watt linear LED RGB colour changing luminaires. The lighting scheme is managed through intelligent drivers and in infra red remote controlled synchroniser, this allows the client access to the multitude of preset scenes and the ability to program bespoke scenes for specific or seasonal events.
As part of the ongoing development at Springfields we were also asked to provide a public art feature to reflect the individuality of the mall and festival gardens. Springfields is a unique combination of themed streetscape shopping combined with a large area of exquisite landscape gardens designed by some of the UK's leading landscape designers. From this we chose a key element from the Springfields logo and designed, fabricated and installed a 6.0m high 3-dimensional tulip with integral seating, lighting and planting.
Having spent in excess of £500,000 on a bespoke musical fountains at Springfields, the client approached Studiotech for assistance in designing an external PA system.
We called on the internal expertise within the group and worked with our sister company Unique Systems and their renowned partner Bose. Unique Systems and Bose systems designed and specified 72No, 32 watt speakers divided into 4No individual vertical arrays. To allow the flexibility needed to achieve complete sound cover on site, Studiotech designed and installed the sculptural support structures with capability to adjust angle, pitch and yaw.
Unique Systems completed the installation with each array being driven by its own amp through a, brand new to the market, audio processor unit . Unique also worked in close harmony with the fountain suppliers to ensure synchronicity was maintained for all the variants of sound source whether pre-programmed CD, standard audio CD or MP3 music files.
